Laura Kennedy, Executive Director, shares these words, ‘Congratulations to the staff and residents of Kingsbridge, as we celebrate our first year! This 2020 year has had a few storm clouds, so it’s not going to bother us one little bit that we are celebrating under cloudy skies today. We have demonstrated resilience and a true sense of community as we have thrived, even in challenging times.
We are grateful as residents and staff have contributed to a culture of kindness and understanding. We have needed to build our sense of community, so we did!
This first year has been critical in making a healthy start for our home as we grow to establish ourselves as a reputable Kingston retirement community. We have worked diligently to create a comfortable and safe environment. Residents living here and staff working here demonstrate mutual acceptance and respect for each other’s individuality and we have set our cultural foundations for years to come.
We are fortunate to have found a team of employees that have shared values with Signature Retirement Living as a team of employees that are here for the right reasons, even through the most challenging of times, like the pandemic we are now experiencing. I want to thank the staff for your kindness to each other and our residents. We received a beautiful compliment from one of our residents, “We have come to the conclusion that the staff at Kingsbridge really like us, it’s not just a job to them, we really feel that, everyday.”
This is success to me. We really do love each other and love the residents for all their individual sparkle that they bring to this residence. We are here to support the residents. We are here to support each other. I am here to support the team to make this all happen. Together we make this home. Together we live life to the fullest by being here for each other. We plan to keep kindness and vibrancy as our culture here at Kingsbridge. We are committed to this effort.
